For this speech you are required to visit the Speaker’s Lab in person OR submit your outline to the Speaker’s Lab Support Site. It is important to carefully prepare for each of your speeches in order to improve and build on your public speaking skills. This assignment is to help you prepare for the upcoming speech by utilizing all of the resources offered to you.
In Person Visit:
- You can choose to visit the Speaker’s Lab in CA 001G. During the visit, Speech Mentors can help you in any stage of your speech preparation process. After your visit, you will receive a Visit Report listing what you accomplished during your visit. To receive points for this option, you will need to save your copy to show your professor or submit a picture through the submission tab. Please see the Instructor Syllabus Addendum for your specific course requirements.
- If you choose this option you will need to submit your current speech outline to the Canvas Support Site. Submit your outline with more than enough time for mentors to review your outline BEFORE THE DUE DATE of your outline. In the Speaker’s Lab Support Site, underneath the modules tab you will see each speech assignment. Simply submit your outline under the proper module. To receive points for this option, you must submit a screen grab of mentor comments to the submission tab. Be sure you include the date of the mentor’s comments.
